Objective Measures Needed — Program Directors’ Perspectives on a Pass/Fail USMLE Step 1

Abstract
A large majority of U.S. residency program directors do not agree with changing scoring on the USMLE Step 1 exam to pass/fail, and they believe that scores on the Step 2 Clinical Knowledge exam will carry greater weight once the new system is implemented.
