Abstract

Abstract Displaying is an indispensable function for smart electronic textiles to achieve information interaction. Weaving electroluminescent fibers into textiles with designed patterns has proven as an efficient strategy to realize informative displaying. However, the design of multicolor electroluminescent fibers with a wide color gamut remains challenging for full‐color display in electronic textiles. Herein, a multicolor electroluminescent fiber with high color purity has been proposed by incorporating light‐conversion perovskite quantum dots with copper doped zinc sulfide (ZnS:Cu) electroluminescent layer. The color conversion of ZnS:Cu luminescent powder is facilitated through the narrow emission of perovskite quantum dots. The resultant luminescent fibers can emit a wide range of colors from blue, and green to red by varying halide compositions of perovskite quantum dots. The full width at half maximum of the emission peak is 23–37 nm, and the color gamut is increased to 102% of the National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) standard, which is superior to that of reported electroluminescent fibers. Such luminescent fibers can be manufactured at large scale with good reproducibility through a sequential solution deposition process. The luminescence remains stable and uniform after 10 000 cycles of bending and long‐term storage up to 90 days. These luminescent fibers are readily woven or embroidered into electronic textiles for colorful information displaying.
