Abstract

A series of new red phosphors based on apatite-type gadolinium silicate host, Gd<sub>9.33−x</sub>Eu<sub>x</sub>(SiO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>6</sub>O<sub>2</sub> (0.03 &lt; <italic>x</italic> &lt; 1.87), have been synthesised and analysed.
