Abstract
In this work, new interesting types of periodic solutions to the damped (2+1)-dimensional Schrodinger equation are extracted by applying new modifications of both rational sine–cosine and sinh–cosh techniques, and also by implementing the extended tanh–coth expansion method. Furthermore, the significance of the embedded nonlinearity parameter and the damping factor acting on the propagations of the obtained solutions to the proposed equation is explored.
