Abstract

As a result of informatization and wider use of connected intelligence, modern industry has evolved into being large scale. To overcome the inevitable shortcomings of centralized design in such cases, this article proposes a subspace-aided distributed closed-loop monitoring approach for interconnected systems. It only uses measurement information from local closed-loop subsystems. The residuals of each closed-loop subsystem can be obtained through the oblique projection technology and the information interaction to complete the evaluation and achieve distributed closed-loop monitoring. The contributions of this article can briefly be described as follows. First, the proposed approach performs distributed closed-loop monitoring, which is equivalent to centralized monitoring. Second, it can effectively reduce the computational complexity of the centralized design and improve efficiency. Third, the information interaction is achieved by transmitting nonessential information, which can effectively ensure secure information transmission in the case of information leakage. The proposed approach has been compared with the existing approach and validated by numerical simulation and an experimental three-tank system, which has a certain engineering significance.
