Abstract
High-yielding methylation of isosorbide <italic>via</italic> DMC chemistry promoted by <italic>N</italic>-methyl pyrrolidine is herein reported. This study addresses: DMI purification, scale-up tests, insights on the catalyst role and on the reaction pathways leading to DMI.
