Abstract
The paper presents a method of flow rate calculation of submerged cargo pumps with hydraulic drive in case of exploitation with reduced pump drive speed. The method is based on application of some different approximation and optimization algorithms. The formulated calculation problem concerns the determination of corrected flow rate of cargo pumps using the base flow and drive characteristics of pumps and efficiency of hydraulic drive motor and supply system were presented. The analyzed pumps are mounted on modern product and chemical tankers. Shows the construction of the algorithm and the results of numerical experiments for pumping of some liquid cargoes with different viscosity and density.
