Flexible Frequency and Radiation Pattern Reconfigurable Antenna for Multi-Band Applications

Abstract
This paper presents the compact and flexible frequency and radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna. The antenna consists of a triangle monopole with a semicircular patch. Two L-shaped stubs are added on both sides of the top patch. Two pin diodes are used in L-shape stub. Different states of pin diode help to resonate antenna from 1.64 GHz to 2.54 GHz frequency. When both diodes are either on/off, the antenna shows omnidirectional radiation pattern.
