Abstract

The results of studies of the process of cooling rocket fuel with liquid nitrogen in a container with a built-in heat exchanger filled with antifreeze are presented. The fuel cooling mode is provided by cooling the antifreeze by bubbling with liquid nitrogen. Mathematical models of fuel cooling with simultaneous cooling of antifreeze and fuel have been developed. Their adequacy is confirmed by the results of experiments on a physical model of the tank when cooling the TC-1 fuel using liquid nitrogen and antifreeze A-65. The influence of the finning characteristics of the external surface of the heat exchanger on the parameters of the fuel cooling process with liquid nitrogen and its efficiency is analyzed.
