The value of ammonia towards integrated power and heat system decarbonisation
Georgios L. Bounitsis, Vassilis M. Charitopoulos
Abstract
Accomplishing Net Zero by 2050 warrants deep decarbonisation pathways that incorporate dense energy carriers, like hydrogen or ammonia, which enable inter-seasonal energy storage and can lead to cost-effective CO 2 abatement in heat & power sectors.
