Abstract

During the previous three industrial revolutions, the agriculture sector underwent a significant transformation, transitioning from traditional farming to mechanised farming and, more recently, precision agriculture. Despite the fact that the industrial farming paradigm significantly boosts productivity, several issues have slowly emerged and gotten worse in recent years. Industry 4.0, which will once again alter the agriculture industry, is expected to be the driving force behind the fourth agricultural revolution. Precision farming, which was made possible by Industry 4.0, has ushered in the fourth generation of the agricultural revolution, which is largely supported by the Internet of Things. The study focuses on the potential application of drone technology, which is already used in nations like India for smart farming, crop monitoring, and precision agriculture. This technology has the ability to increase output and, in addition, avoid crop and fruit loss in difficult terrain that is physically inaccessible to humans.
