Abstract
Abstract Pyrroline is a five‐membered nitrogen‐containing heterocyclic compound found in various biologically active compounds, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals. Several synthetic methods have been reported for the preparation of these heterocycles, along with their notable biological activities. Visible light and photoredox catalysis have become powerful and enduring tools in organic synthesis. This review highlights the impact of visible light‐driven chemistry on the synthesis and modification of heterocyclic compounds containing pyrroline ring for their medicinal importance.
