Abstract
A novel substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) bandpass filter (BPF) with adjustable number of passbands based on assembled multimode resonant printed circuit boards (PCBs) is proposed in this brief, for the first time. Three independent PCBs with perturbed TE 102 and TE 201 modes are designed to realize the high-selective filtering response with desired different number of passbands. Particularly, single-, dual- and triple-band responses can be adjusted by using one layer, two layers and three layers of PCBs, respectively. A prototype is simulated and measured to verify the proposed method.
