Abstract

Regio- and enantioselective Friedel–Crafts alkylation/ N -hemiacetalization and dehydration sequence were reported using Ni( ii )-PyBPI complex as catalyst, affording chiral 7-membered-ring-bridged 3,4-fused tricyclic indoles in good results.
