Abstract
This work addresses the probability of detection problem and false alarm performance degradation in automotive radar scenarios with multipath induced ghost targets. A novel multipath mitigation method which evaluates correlation between the target and its hypothesized ghost tracks, is proposed. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated with simulations and by using collected radar measurements, in practical scenes of moving target vehicles in adjacency to flat reflective surface.
