Abstract

An Fe(<sc>iii</sc>)-catalyzed Mannich/decarboxylative ring expansion reaction to generate pyrrole derivatives has been achieved using Fe(OTf)<sub>3</sub> as the catalyst. A series of pyrrole derivatives was obtained in moderate to excellent yields.
