Advancing food safety through digital traceability, interoperability, harmonized data and collaborative partnerships
Marion Gottschald
Abstract
digital approaches are used, the supply chain involves multiple stakeholders, including farmers, processors, distributors, retailers as well as regulators, each using different systems and standards. This diversity and the non-digital approach create information silos that hinder effective end-to-end traceability, data exchange and response efforts during foodborne incidents.
