Abstract
The latest communication technologies demanded broad bandwidth, high gain, and low-profile antennas that enhanced performance throughout the frequency's bandwidth region. Here, two antennas are used, the first of which is a square-shaped, and another is a modified rectangle antenna. This study compares the performance of square and rectangle antennas. The modified rectangular shape antenna comprises an FR-4 substrate with 25 mm wide by 38 mm long dimensions and several rectangular slots. The antenna covers L band applications in the 1.26-1.3 GHz region and features a bandwidth notch near 1.28 GHz and 2.73% bandwidth. However, the square antenna is smaller (15mm x 15mm) than the modified rectangle antenna with FR-4 substrate. The modified square shape antenna covers 5G applications between 3.7 and 4.0 GHz and features bandwidth notches near 3.8GHz with a bandwidth of 7.8%. In the middle of India's 5G spectrum arrangement, the n78 and n77 bands on this antenna cover 5G applications. A Vector Network Analyzer has been successfully used to measure the outcomes of proposed antennas that have been developed using IE3D.
