Abstract

EMC performance is an important consideration in automotive electronic applications. In this paper, we focus on a MOSFET based half-bridge configuration which is widely used for DCDC and DCAC automotive power conversion. SPICE modeling is proposed to analyze the half-bridge performance in the time domain. This is compared with measurements from a real test circuit. Furthermore, an EMC measurement system was built to measure the supply side conducted emissions of the half-bridge. FFT is used to compare the SPICE model with the real circuit to assess the EMC performance. A good correlation between SPICE simulation and practical measurements has been found in both time domain and frequency domain. This provides confidence in using SPICE modeling to predict the EMC behavior of a power MOSFET half-bridge circuit. (Abstract)
