Abstract
In this letter, a single-fed high-gain circularly polarized slotted patch antenna is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a slotted radiation patch and a ground plate, which has a simple structure. The slots are etched on the radiation patch to radiate circular polarization. The measured impedance bandwidth for S 11 <; -10 dB is around 17.4% (3.05-3.63 GHz). Also, the measured axial-ratio (AR) bandwidth for AR <; 3 dB is around 5.4% (3.25-3.43 GHz). Moreover, the measured peak gain is about 10.2 dB at 3.34 GHz. The measured curves of S 11 , ar, and gain are in good agreement with the simulation. The Proposed slotted patch antenna can radiate left-hand circular polarization (LHCP) stably from 3.25 to 3.43 GHz. the volume of the fabricated antenna is 0.43λ 0 ×0.43λ 0 ×0.07λ 0 . λ 0 is the operating wavelength at the lowest frequency (3.25 GHz) for radiating circular polarization.
