Abstract

Data analytics on electrical parameter using Internet of things is the advanced technology and industrial revolution. Energy consumption monitoring and its performance recording is essential now days. The consumed data is calculated with the help of smart meter installed in Industry. In nearly all type industries power monitoring plays a crucial role. Continuous monitoring of 3 phase voltage, current, active and reactive power is very important to avoid loss of power and save funds spent on yearly energy consumption. The energy meter monitoring solution has been implemented using IoT & MQTT Protocol. This paper represents a new approach for energy meter monitoring using ESP 32 microcontroller and AWS cloud platform. A hardware set up is implemented for data retrieval process using RS 485 communication interfaced smart meter. One front end website will be provided which will represent the data in graphical format Also there is facility to download the consumption data in excel sheet format So that every user get benefited with features like online data tracking and monitoring, hence error due to human involvement will be reduced and end up with giving cost effective and easy solution. This proposed model gives calculations of 3 phase voltage, current, active and reactive power with recording at back end. User can monitor data using login panel on daily or weekly basis.
