Abstract

Application of methods for ensuring and improving the efficiency of functioning in modern information and communication networks is one of the urgent tasks of ensuring the continuity of the main business processes in the organization, and also allows you to ensure the operability of technical subsystems, which are one of the key elements of the smooth functioning of these business processes, in case of emergency situations. Such subsystems include a communication subsystem based on VoIP technology. This paper aims to consider methods for improving the resiliency of the VoIP subsystem in the event of failures and downtime while maintaining functional characteristics by distributing network intelligent functions across stable clusters, which allows you to anticipate and mitigate system failures and, thus, maintain a stable level of system functioning while minimizing the need for intervention by service personnel. We propose a number of types of network configurations that differ in their level of reliability, which, according to the authors, are the most optimal options for various organizational business models and form the basis of the recommended resilient topologies. The proposed solutions, in particular, take into account and reflect the authors' experience in building effective communication subsystems based on VoIP technology.
