Abstract

A hydrazine-derived bis(2-hydroxybenzylidene)-[1,1′-biphenyl]-2,2′-dicarbohydrazide (sensor 1) can selectively recognize Al 3+ and Zn 2+ with significant fluorescence enhancement at 458 nm and 478 nm.
