Abstract

The influence of changing poling angle on mode-III non-centric semi-permeable straight hairline crack in an infinitely long piezoelectric strip under small-scale electric yielding is studied. The developed electrical-yielding zone rims are subjected to linearly varying yield point cohesive electric displacement to control the crack from further opening. Closed-form analytical expressions are derived in terms of Fredholm integral equations of second kind for numerous fracture parameters and developed situation zones by using Fourier integral transform techniques. The numerical case study is carried out for various piezoelectric ceramics to observe the impact of arbitrary poling angle on fracture parameters.
