Abstract
The risk of cyber-attacks is ever-present, not just in times of war. This article defines the most sophisticated attacks on the power grid during the conflict in Ukraine. It briefly summarises the main events related to attacks on the energy sector in Ukraine, describes the main types of Industroyer2 and its predecessor used for these attacks. It discusses the possible actors involved in the attacks and predicts future developments. It outlines a strategy for preventing these attacks, which can affect both the civilian and military sectors.
