Abstract

RED-100 is a two-phase liquid xenon time projection chamber with an active volume containing 126 kg of liquid xenon. The detector was exposed to an antineutrino flux of about <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <a:mrow> <a:mn>1.4</a:mn> <a:mo>×</a:mo> <a:msup> <a:mrow> <a:mn>10</a:mn> </a:mrow> <a:mrow> <a:mn>13</a:mn> </a:mrow> </a:msup> <a:mtext> </a:mtext> <a:mtext> </a:mtext> <a:mrow> <a:msup> <a:mrow> <a:mi>cm</a:mi> </a:mrow> <a:mrow> <a:mo>−</a:mo> <a:mn>2</a:mn> </a:mrow> </a:msup> <a:mtext> </a:mtext> <a:msup> <a:mrow> <a:mi mathvariant="normal">s</a:mi> </a:mrow> <a:mrow> <a:mo>−</a:mo> <a:mn>1</a:mn> </a:mrow> </a:msup> </a:mrow> </a:mrow> </a:math> at a distance of 19 m from the 3.1 GW Kalinin nuclear power plant reactor core. The comparison of data from <d:math xmlns:d="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <d:mrow> <d:mn>331</d:mn> <d:mtext> </d:mtext> <d:mtext> </d:mtext> <d:mi>kg</d:mi> <d:mo>·</d:mo> <d:mi>days</d:mi> </d:mrow> </d:math> with the reactor on and <f:math xmlns:f="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"> <f:mrow> <f:mn>106</f:mn> <f:mtext> </f:mtext> <f:mtext> </f:mtext> <f:mi>kg</f:mi> <f:mo>·</f:mo> <f:mi>days</f:mi> </f:mrow> </f:math> with the reactor off shows no statistically significant excess and the constraint on coherent elastic scattering of antineutrinos off xenon nuclei cross section is given.
