A new structure family of oxide-ion conductors based on BaGdInO<sub>4</sub>

Abstract
We prepared new materials BaGdInO<sub>4</sub> and BaGd<sub>0.9</sub><italic>A</italic><sub>0.1</sub>InO<sub>3.95</sub> (<italic>A</italic> = Mg, Ca, Sr) for the first time. These oxides belong to a new structure family of one-dimensional oxide-ion conductors and exhibit conductivities comparable to BaNdInO<sub>4</sub>-based oxides.
