Abstract
• Overlooking the food systems' complex and systemic nature hinders transformations. • We aim to enhance food systems frameworks from a system and complexity (STCS) lens. • We developed an STCS rubric to assess frameworks and identify enhancement paths. • Revealing complementarities across frameworks enables inner dialogue and learning. • Engaging with STCS builds solid foundations to inform food systems discussions.
