Abstract

A K<sup>+</sup>-pre-intercalated α-MnO<sub>2</sub> with oxygen defects (KMO<sub>d</sub>) is designed as a high-performance cathode for aqueous Zn-ion batteries guided by a coupling engineering strategy.
