Abstract
Tungsten‐based defect‐pyrochlores CsM x W 2− x O 6 are used as model oxides to investigate the high number of possible M cations that can be used to form the defect‐pyrochlore crystal structure. A large variety of possible compounds are presented, several of which have been unknown so far. These compounds are used in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution to investigate possible correlations between the photocatalytic activity and the varying elemental compositions.
