Abstract
The main objective of this didactic proposal was to analyze the implications of PBL within the framework of pedagogical practice, in order to enhance the development of transversal skills (communication, collaborative work, and critical thinking). To do so, a study with a humanistic-scientific, professional-technical, or multipurpose educational approach was carried out with 164 students from the 13 different schools that belong to PACE. Based on the main results, it is worth mentioning that PBL improved the transversal skills of the students who initially scored below the average, yet no improvements were shown in those who scored above it. Another finding to highlight is the positive impact that this work methodology had on critical thinking skills, while fewer advances were made in communication skills.
