Abstract

In 21st century education, students are required to have 4 skills consisting of critical thinking skills in solving problems, skills in communication, skills in creating new things, and skills in collaboration. Students can achieve these 4 skills by understanding and applying literacy in learning. The literacy that must be mastered in the digital era is digital numeracy literacy. Digital numeracy literacy is a student's skill in using digital media in finding, managing information in the form of mathematical concepts that are related in everyday life. Digital numeracy literacy in students can develop if there is media that can combine mathematics with technology such as AR media. AR media is a medium that can change the virtual world experience into the real world. Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design is a quasi-experimental method used in this study. With a total of 25 students, class V-A served as the study control group. Class V-C, which had a total of 24 students, served as the experimental setting. Observations, tests, questionnaires, and interviews were used as data collection methods in this study. The type of hypothesis used in this study is the Independent Sample T-Test and the results obtained are Sig (2-tailed) 0.009 <0.05. These findings indicate that the use of AR media has a considerable impact on students' numeracy and digital literacy skills.
