Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Obesity represents a unique challenge for public health in the world and is probably one of the greatest public health threats of this century. The worldwide increase in prevalence is associated with concomitant global burden of cardiometabolic risk factors including insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and dyslipidemia but also several forms of cancer.
