Abstract

detection of large analytes, such as cells, but also provides promising opportunities for ultra-high sensitivity detection with a clear mechanism. In this tutorial review, we present an overview of the detection principle used for solid-state nanochannels, inner-wall focused nanochannels and outer-surface focused nanochannels. Furthermore, we discuss the remaining challenges faced by current nanochannel technologies and provide insights into their prospects.
