Abstract

Multipurpose, environmentally friendly and low reflection are potential trends toward the fabrication of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials. Nevertheless, successfully integrating numerous features in one material is still complicated. Herein, we described a multipurpose and green EMI shielding material with higher absorption and low reflection. An innovative Sm FeO 3 / poly ( CNIn ) nanocomposite microwave absorbent material was fabricated for X-band frequency. As-prepared nanocomposite materials were tested using XRD , FTIR, VSM , FESEM and VNA to determine their structural, magnetic, morphological, and microwave absorption/shielding features. Sm FeO 3 / poly ( CNIn ) composite absorber with 40 wt % filler loading achieved minimal reflection loss (RL mini ) of −32 dB with 1.5 mm thickness. The same sample achieved shielding effectiveness ( SE ) of 37 dB with good green index at 10.3 GHz frequency. The novel composites have not only been proven to be environmentally friendly, but they have also been demonstrated to dramatically minimize additional electromagnetic pollution ; so, this multifunctional shielding material has real-world applications in signal shielding.
