<i>In situ</i> bulk hydrogen intercalation in a mirror-symmetric Ru/WO<sub>3−<i>x</i></sub> nanoarray boosts neutral electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia

Abstract
An unprecedented mirror-symmetric Ru/MSN-WO 3− x nanoarray is successfully constructed. The hydrogen intercalation endows Ru/MSN-H y WO 3− x with a dynamic proton-concentrated microenvironment, which accelerates the hydrogenation of nitrate to ammonia.
