Abstract
This review article explores the application of zeolites and other structurally porous materials, including metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), with a specific focus on their extensively researched derivative, zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs), in diverse components (electrodes, electrolytes, separators, and packaging) of various secondary batteries. The advantageous characteristics of these materials lie in their appropriate structure and low weight, making them conducive to battery production. This holds especially true for natural zeolites, which offer both favourable properties and cost-effectiveness.
