Abstract

Abstract Byers‐Heinlein et al. suggest six practical solutions to increase reliability in infant experimentation. Here I add a seventh solution, which is recording multiple measures from the same infant and trial. Recording multiple measures is relatively easy to implement in many cases, and has additional advantages. I survey several ways to accomplish this and recommend preregistering hypotheses and analyses plans beforehand to avoid adding researcher's degrees of freedom. Multiple measurements are complementary to Byers‐Heinlein et al.'s (2021) solutions and should be used in tandem with them to further the quality of research in the field.
