Abstract

Production of the X(3872) is studied in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV using decays to $J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$. A double-differential production cross section for the total, prompt and non prompt component is presented. The cross section is normalised to that of $\psi(2S)$ and done in 10 bins of transverse momentum ($5 < p_T < 15$ GeV/c) and 5 bins of rapidity ($2.5 < y < 4$). In addition an unbinned production cross section on the non prompt component is presented in order to investigate the fraction of $X(3872)$ produced from $B_c^+$.
