Abstract
Electric Vehicle industry is having wide acceptance due to its advantages over conventional vehicles. This paper reviews the different types of EV charging method based on the infrastructure, method of power transfer, power levels, and direction of power flow. Charger systems are classified as off-board and on-board chargers and based on the method of power transfer conductive and inductive charging system. Depending on the direction of power flow uni-directional and bi-directional chargers and based on the different Power levels Level 1, 2, 3 Charging. The emerging battery swap method is also discussed.
