Abstract

To the Editor, Circulating histones have been suggested as critical mediators and potential diagnostic/prognostic markers in several hyperinflammatory diseases, including Sars-CoV-2 infection and classical bacterial sepsis, because their levels increase with the worsening of classical and viral sepsis [1-3].
