Abstract
A divergent protocol for the selective synthesis of benzofuran-2-carboxaldehydes and 3-organoselenyl-2 H -coumarins from propargylic aryl ethers in the presence of dialkyl(aryl) diselenides under electrochemical reaction conditions was established.
