Abstract
Due to the unique architectural framework of the Social meta-verse, there's a potential for various cyber threats to emerge. The cornerstone of privacy safeguarding within the Meta-verse lies in encrypting and anonymizing user data, allowing users to freely exchange information and conduct transactions across decentralized, interconnected platforms. However, the Social meta-verse is susceptible to social cyber threats like phishing, ransomware, data breaches, identity theft, and virus attacks, posing a significant challenge. Data within the meta-verse can be stored in diverse locations such as servers, databases, edge, fog, and cloud computing platforms. Our report extensively covers Social meta-verse platforms and applications, highlighting potential avenues for further research. Additionally, we present potential solutions to mitigate risks inherent in the meta-verse, making it a valuable contribution.
