Abstract

In this paper, a model of active power-voltage external characteristics of high-energy-consuming electrolytic aluminum load considering the characteristics of the production process is established. A high energy consuming electrolytic aluminum load regulation method has been verified by field tests to verify that the high-energy-consuming electrolytic aluminum load has the characteristics of fast dynamic adjustment. Through the construction of a new mode in which high-energy-consuming electrolytic aluminum loads participate in power system frequency modulation control, the flexibility of the power system and the ability of the power system to absorb renewable energy are improved.
