Abstract

The reaction of ligand pyrene Q–Q , Co 2 (CO) 8 , and Me n tpa gave rise to a series of dinuclear cobalt–tetraoxolene compounds formulated as {[Co(Me n tpa)] 2 (pyrene Sq–Sq )}[Co(CO) 4 ] 2 · S (Sq = semiquinone; n = 0, S = 2C 6 H 5 CH 3 for 3; n = 1 for 4; n = 2, S = 2CHCl 3 for 5).
