Abstract
A new NLO-active oxytelluride, Ba 3 Ge 2 O 4 Te 3 , was successfully synthesized by using Ba 2 ZnGe 2 O 7 as a parent model. Both experiments and theoretical calculations show that Ba 3 Ge 2 O 4 Te 3 is a promising NLO material with well-balanced properties.
