Abstract
α-TCP:Eu 2+ was synthesized from a CaHPO 4 ·2H 2 O:Eu 3+ precursor via a phase transformation process accompanied by the reduction of Eu 3+ to Eu 2+ . Tunable broadband emission was achieved due to the multi-site occupancy of Eu 2+ in a complex α-TCP matrix.
