Abstract
was discussed. The nucleophilic addition reactions of water, alcohols and secondary amines to the activated triple bond of the nitrilium derivatives yielded the corresponding iminols, imidates and amidines. The obtained results were supported by X-ray diffraction studies and DFT calculations.
