Abstract

A thorough examination of cybersecurity risk assessment methods and theories that are adapted to the particular dynamics of the travel and tourist sector is described in this chapter proposal. The travel and tourism industry is facing previously unheard-of cybersecurity risks in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) context, where technology breakthroughs are redefining industrial landscapes. The chapter addresses the growing cybersecurity concerns resulting from integrating physical, digital, and biological systems in the business by critically evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of various models and theories. This investigation aims to provide a useful tool for professionals, scholars, and decision-makers working to strengthen cybersecurity protocols and adaptability in the quickly changing travel and tourist sector in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
