Abstract
Maintenance and promotion of students’ health through the formation and development of a values-based attitude to a healthy lifestyle are the main prerequisites for the successful professional socialization of students. Objective. To study the attitude of students toward a healthy lifestyle. Material and methods. The study included 172 students aged 18—19 years (including 62 males and 110 females) of the Surgut State University of various training areas. Results. The study showed that most students are unfamiliar with healthy lifestyle principles; information is mainly obtained from various Internet resources. However many students try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but different circumstances and reasons prevent this. Many students’ daily regimens and nutrition do not meet the recommended standards. 53.20% of males and 26.40% of females are not exposed to stress. 14.20% of boys and 30.90% of girls are not engaged in sports activities. Conclusion. The need to promote and maintain young people’s health is becoming increasingly important since an increased risk of lifestyle disorders due to the stresses of the educational process can lead to diseases. The data obtained should be considered when developing targeted programs to maintain and promote students’ health and further develop a healthy lifestyle.
